I was first introduced to bluegrass music while I was in the 5th grade while living in Delavan, Illinois. When I moved to Decatur, Illinois, after my 9th grade, I became acquainted with Joe Singer of WHOW radio in Clinton. I would pull records for him and watch him ‘turn the dials”

I started collecting 45s and albums when I was in high school. (CD’s were not invented yet). When I moved to Atlanta in1985, I became friends with the station manager at WRFG radio. WRFG is a  volunteer station. Because of my knowledge and collection of bluegrass, Mr. Davis offered me a show. I was on 2 hours a week for 20 years.

About 6 years ago I moved about 35 miles from WRFG and with my wifes health, it was best for me to leave.

When I worked out in the local gym, I started listening to The Bluegrass Jamboree. I contacted Annette Grady and the rest is history.

My collection is mostly vintage bluegrass, both vinyl and cd’s. I also have a collection of live music. If you like traditional old-time and bluegrass, give me a listen.
