“TIMELESS”

I received my autographed copy of the new CD album, ‘Timeless’, by The Burnett Sisters Band with Colin Ray. The collection of songs on the album, represent what the band calls ‘the broad range of musical genres that have influenced them over the last three years’ time’.   

The result? In one word, Fabulous! Every song is wonderful, from the audience favorites such as ‘Greenback Dollar’, ‘Blue Night’, ‘Draggin’ the Bow’, ‘Appalachian Set’, and ‘Rollin’ ‘In My Sweet Baby’s Arms’. These take me back to their amazing live shows, which were led by Kathleen, and will certainly not be forgotten.

There are two excellent originals, ‘Lizard On A Leash’ written by Nate Leath, talented musician and songwriter; and ‘Ballad of a Lucky Gambler’ written by Jacob Metz, multiple instrumentalist, singer & songwriter. Colin Ray shares beautiful Gospel tunes in ‘All in God’s Plan’ and ‘Jesus Is Living In Me’. Anissa, Sophia, and Anneli show that they will continue to be a knockout, with ‘It’s A Sin To Tell A Lie’ and ‘Whispering’.

Sophia Burnett, bass, and fiddle. Anneli Burnett, Mandolin, lead vocals & harmony, fiddle & dance. Colin Ray, lead & rhythm guitar, lead vocals. Brady Wallen, banjo. John Gardner, drums.
